On 16th March 2024, in celebration of our 16th Anniversary, Gelly Wee Wedding Gown hosted the debut of Malaysia’s first-ever Bridal Carousel, a dazzling event held at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur. This spectacular installation featured breathtaking wedding gowns from top international designers like Berta, Joli Poli, and Georges Hobeika. Beautifully illuminated and adorned with our finest couture, the carousel offered brides-to-be a unique and enchanting experience.

Despite an unexpected heavy rain, a grand fashion show marked the carousel’s opening night, creating an unforgettable evening that our guests fondly named the “Fashion Show In The Rain.” Showcasing our stunning designs and the enduring spirit and dedication of Gelly Wee Wedding Gown, the Bridal Carousel event was such a significant achievement that it was recorded in THE MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS for its innovation and grandeur.

In March 2024, Gelly Wee launched the first Gelly Wee Bridal Training Program. Held at The Starhill in Kuala Lumpur, this exclusive event was designed to elevate the wedding experience for Malaysia’s brides and grooms. Recognising that posture and etiquette play pivotal roles on the wedding day, we invited Haruka Nohara, a renowned international bridal trainer from Japan, to lead this transformative program. 

At the event, Nohara, the esteemed founder of THE TRINITY INC in Japan, brought her vast expertise to guide couples in perfecting their walk, posture, and overall presence. The event drew nearly 100 couples, all eager to gain insights and skills that would help them radiate confidence and elegance on their special day.

In a landmark event for luxury bridal fashion in Southeast Asia, Gelly Wee Wedding Gown proudly unveiled the exclusive ELIE SAAB Private Showroom in Malaysia in March 2024. This invitation-only showroom is a sanctuary of bridal opulence, dedicated to showcasing the exquisite bridal creations of ELIE SAAB, one of the world’s most prestigious designers. 

Known for their stunning embroidery, luxurious fabrics, and elegant designs, ELIE SAAB gowns are the epitome of bridal sophistication and grace. Located in our flagship boutique in Kuala Lumpur, the private showroom is accessible only to VIP guests, ensuring an intimate and personalized shopping experience. 

This intimate showroom reflects our unwavering commitment to offering our clients unparalleled access to the finest in bridal couture. By bringing such a revered international brand to Malaysia, Gelly Wee Wedding Gown continues to set the standard for luxury and exclusivity in the bridal market. 

On 16th March 2024,  Gelly Wee Wedding Gown organised Dreamland’s Wedding Gowns Design Competition at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur. This groundbreaking event provided a platform for emerging designers to showcase their talent and creativity, designing mini wedding gowns for puppets. Participants included some of Malaysia’s most promising bridal fashion designers, competing to create the most innovative and beautiful designs.

The competition aimed to inspire and recognise new talent in the Malaysian bridal fashion industry. The top 20 winning designs were displayed at The Starhill for ten days, offering the public a glimpse of the creativity and skill present in Malaysia’s fashion community. This event not only highlighted the designers’ work but also demonstrated Gelly Wee Wedding Gown’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in bridal fashion.

The competition was a resounding success, with participants gaining significant exposure and the opportunity to advance their careers. Gelly Wee Wedding Gown is proud to support and nurture the next generation of bridal designers, helping them to achieve their dreams. 

In February 2024, Gelly Wee Wedding Gown marked a joyous celebration with our Spring Festival Gala. This special event, held at our flagship boutique in Kuala Lumpur, brought together clients, partners, and friends to celebrate the spirit of the Lunar New Year. The evening was filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of community as we welcomed the Year of the Dragon.

The gala featured a spectacular fashion show introducing our latest bridal collection, including the new Modern Chinese KUA designs that blend traditional elegance with contemporary flair. Guests were treated to a vibrant display of colours and styles, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship and innovative designs that Gelly Wee Wedding Gown is known for.

The Spring Festival Gala showcases our commitment to being the go-to destination for designer wedding gowns, while also celebrating our culture and community. The gala also provided an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to our clients and partners, and to share the joy of the season. On 25th November 2022, Gelly Wee Wedding Gown hosted a Wedding Posture Training Course at the prestigious EQ Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. This unique event was designed to help aspiring brides perfect their posture and grace for their wedding day. Led by top experts in bridal etiquette and poise, the training course offered invaluable tips and techniques to ensure brides walk down the aisle with confidence and elegance.

Participants learned essential skills for maintaining good posture and a graceful walk, crucial for making a stunning impression on their special day. The event also included demonstrations of our latest wedding gown designs, allowing brides to practice their new skills in the actual gowns they might wear. This hands-on approach ensured that each bride could experience the full impact of their improved posture and presentation.

On 30th July 2022, Gelly Wee Wedding Gown revolutionised the Malaysian bridal industry with the introduction of Malaysia’s first mobile wedding gallery. This groundbreaking initiative brought the luxury of high-end bridal fashion directly to brides-to-be across Peninsular Malaysia. The chic mobile gallery truck toured major cities throughout Peninsular Malaysia and Klang Valley, through Penang and Malacca, showcasing our exquisite collection of designer wedding gowns.

The mobile gallery culminated in a spectacular fashion show at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur, where 11 models paraded our latest designs. This innovative approach made it possible for brides from various regions to experience the elegance and sophistication of Gelly Wee Wedding Gown without the need to travel to our flagship boutique. The event not only highlighted our commitment to accessibility but also demonstrated our dedication to making every bride’s dream wedding a reality.

Our mobile gallery was a resounding success, earning a place in THE MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS for its unique and effective outreach. We are proud to have created an unforgettable experience that allowed brides to explore our luxurious gowns in a setting that was both convenient and inspiring.
